Information
The CPA-alarm is an external signal generator for the CPA (Closest Point of Approach)-function and for the acoustic notification of an incoming AIS S.A.R.T emergency telegram.

Functionality:
The easyCPA-alarm is designed as additional equipment to the AIS transmit-receivers easyTRX2 and easyTRX2-IS and it improves the safety on board.
With this external acoustic signal generator it is ensured that previously defined potential dangers are recognized through the CPA-function of the receiver and hence are signaled clearly.
AIS emergency telegrams that were sent by activated AIS S.A.R.T are recognised and signalized. Thus a temporarily delayed perception through sleep or turned off terminal devices is prevented.

The device receives impulses by the easyTRX2 and by the easyTRX2-IS, respectively as soon as the set CPA-function was triggered and turns them into acoustic signals. The easyCPA-alarm has two different acoustic signals, to be able to differentiate between CPA-warnings and AIS S.A.R.T.

What is necessary to operate an easyCPA-alarm?
You need an easyTRX2 or an easyTRX2-IS in operation. Only with these two devices is it possible to set the incoming AIS signals in relation to the settings of the CPA-function and to initiate respective actions
