Long Distance AIS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Persistent tracking \u201c24\/7\u201d becomes more and more important to know where the vessels are located in the near and far vicinity. \u201cGeo Fencing\u201d, \u201cCoastal Surveillance\u201d and \u201cMaritime Domain Awareness\u201d as well as \u201cIUU \u2013 illegal, unreported & unregulated fishing\u201d are big topics of today.<\/p>\n

Today tracking and monitoring of all vessels from a local fishing fleet is limited by the receiving range of the used base stations. What about if a vessel is out of range and no longer trackable for a bunch of hours?<\/p>\n
