AIS SART devices meet SOLAS requirements and are also approved for commercial shipping.<\/p>\n<p>All easyRESCUE variants equipped with DSC have always implemented the DSC function (send and receive) according to Class M. Therefore, all of our easyRESCUE variants with DSC are still approved under the new standard.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0<\/h3>\n<h3>What&#8217;s new?<\/h3>\n<p>The new AIS Class M standard only applies to AIS MOB devices. The following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easyais.com\/en\/news\/ais-mob-becomes-ais-class-m-amrd-a\/\">new regulations apply to AIS Class M as of January 2025<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All automatic activation devices must be deactivated (arm\/disarm switch).<\/li>\n<li>In addition to the &#8220;closed loop&#8221; (a pre-programmed MMSI number range), DSC is also transmitted in the &#8220;open loop,&#8221; thus placing a distress call within the GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System) rescue chain.<\/li>\n<li>DSC must not only be transmitted but also received in order to acknowledge a distress call and clear the radio channel.<br \/>Only AIS MOB devices capable of receiving DSC are permitted to alert on AIS products?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>AIS SART devices without DSC \u2013 like some of our easyRESCUE variants \u2013 do not fall under the new AIS Class M standard, but rather under a different, still valid standard.<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">AIS SART devices with DSC \u2013 like our easyRESCUE-PRO(BT) and our easyRESCUE-PRO3 \u2013 fall under and comply with the new AIS Class M standard in addition to the AIS SART standard.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li>All <strong>easyRESCUE devices continue to comply with the standard and are approved.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Our <strong>easy2-MOB is certified according to the new AIS Class M standard<\/strong> and may be used and sold without
