My system show the transmission in standby all the time, I have connected the power to dedicated source. I receive AIS targets without issue but they only show on my laptop computer. I have a standard Horizon CPN7001 Chart Plotter

where do you receive the “Standby” message?
Please connect your TRX2S to the Prog-Tool and have a look into the “Sent-Data” page.
There you find the time of the last transmission.
