It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to our longtime colleague and friend, Wolfgang Werner.
Wolfgang was a founding partner and helped us build our company since 2003. He was the brains behind our hardware development – an exceptional expert with immense know-how, a clear mind, and great empathy. Above all, Wolfgang was a wonderful person. Reliable, humble, helpful, and always willing to share his knowledge. A serious health setback in May 2018 changed his life. Wolfgang faced this blow of fate with great strength. Even though he never fully regained his former capabilities, he never lost his courage or his desire to make a positive difference. After leaving our company for health reasons, he was drawn to his beloved South Africa. There, he wanted to help and do good – true to his nature. Unfortunately, Wolfgang became seriously ill again. Despite medical treatment, this time his strength was no longer sufficient.
Wolfgang passed away on July 10th.
With him, we lose an extraordinary colleague, a brilliant developer, and a person who profoundly shaped our company and us personally. We are grateful for the time we shared, for everything he created, and for everything we learned from him. We will miss him.
