📌 AIS MOB easy2-MOB: Rapid assistance in emergencies
The easy2-MOB is an innovative, next-generation AIS MOB emergency beacon, specifically designed for use in life jackets. This compact device combines two essential technologies:
- AIS (Automatic Identification System) for directly alerting all vessels in the vicinity
- DSC (Digital Selective Calling) also for targeted distress calls to defined groups of recipients
In an emergency – such as a man-overboard situation – the beacon activates automatically upon contact with water and immediately sends distress messages. These are transmitted simultaneously via AIS and DSC, alerting nearby vessels within a radius of up to approximately 7 nautical miles.
