How can I display the AIS/GPS data in my navigation software (e.g., Navionics)?

  1. Connect to your device’s “easyTRX3S_XXX” Wi-Fi hotspot; you’ll find the login credentials on the bottom of the device.
  2. If necessary, confirm the “No Internet” message by selecting “Always Stay Connected.” This procedure may vary depending on your device.
  3. Open the navigation app; in the following example, we’ll use the Navionics® Boating App
  4. Click on Menu, scroll down to “Paired Devices,” or add a new connection if necessary.
  5. Use the + button to add a new entry.
    1. Your phone/tablet is directly connected to the TRX3S access point:
      Host: 192.168.2.1, or 127.0.0.1
      Port Number: 10110
      UDP
    2. The easyTRX3S’s Wi-Fi is connected to your own hotspot
      Host: 192.168.2.1, or 127.0.0.1
      Port Number: 10110
      UDP
  6. As soon as data arrives, you’ll see the green text “Connected” in the entry
  7. If the RX LED on the easyTRX3S is flashing, AIS vessels should now be visible on the map.

For previous 1st-generation easyTRX3/S devices, the IP address is 192.168.16.254, port 8080, and TCP instead of UDP
