Persistent tracking “24/7” becomes more and more important to know where the vessels are located in the near and far vicinity. “Geo Fencing”, “Coastal Surveillance” and “Maritime Domain Awareness” as well as “IUU – illegal, unreported & unregulated fishing” are big topics of today.
Today tracking and monitoring of all vessels from a local fishing fleet is limited by the receiving range of the used base stations. What about if a vessel is out of range and no longer trackable for a bunch of hours?

– What has been done at this location?
And thinking about to build-up a new base station? Wouldn’t it be sufficient if you have a re-doubled receiving range?
