### Non-Compliance of MOB Devices with the New AIS Class-M Regulation (IEC 63269)###

Currently, only one certified device on the market complies with the new ECC Decision and its stringent requirements, including the capability to receive a DSC acknowledgment. All MOB devices lacking the capability to receive DSC acknowledgment messages are now categorically non-compliant with these regulations.

Use of non-standard equipment partially prohibited

In Denmark, Italy, Switzerland, Ireland, Slovakia, and Moldova, the use of previously compliant units is now strictly prohibited.

This critical regulation must be acknowledged and acted upon immediately.

In other countries, including Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Luxembourg, North Macedonia, and Montenegro, a formal ban on the usage of non-compliant devices has not yet been enacted. However, it is anticipated that these nations will soon adopt the new regulations, rendering the continued use of such devices illegal.

The Netherlands stands as an exception, currently applying a “Grandfather” clause that temporarily permits the use of existing products. However, this is likely a provisional measure and could be revoked.

AIS Class M standard so far only in Europe

As the AIS Class-M standard (IEC 63269) is currently a European mandate, the use of MOB1 devices remains allowed in the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

easy2-MOB is currently the only standard-compliant and approved product on the market

Our product, the easy2-MOB, is currently the only market offering that is fully compliant with the new regulation, having been certified by a notified body and featuring self-floating capabilities. This positions the easy2-MOB as the leading choice for adherence to the latest AIS Class-M standards.
