Function
The new generation of the Weatherdock AIS Class B transceiver – easyTRX3S including ME SENSE
The new AIS Class B transceiver easyTRX3S continues the high-end performance of the reliable AIS functionality, but comes with new features
to take boating life to the next level. Professional navigation, safety functions and maritime Internet of Things – expandable to 20
sensors and 10 actuators*!
NEW: ME SENSE yacht monitoring
The new easyTRX3S can now be operated with Bluetooth functionality as the heart of the ME SENSE yacht monitoring system. All sensor data is collected via Bluetooth and the new easyTRX3S is routed to the marina’s WLAN network or to the WLAN network of your own LTE router. This makes the easyTRX3S the new gap-closer between your ship in the marina and you at home with the ME SENSE app. Keep an eye on your boat in combination with ME SENSE.

NEW: WiFi – Always integrated
The easyTRX3S is always equipped with a WiFi module so that it can forward all received NMEA data to a wirelessly connected device such as
tablet or smartphone or to a chart plotter. SOTDMA – no position report is lost. Based on the AIS Class B SOTDMA (Self Organized Time Division Multiple Access) technology, the easyTRX3S transmits with higher priority. The transmission slots for the next 4 transmissions are automatically reserved. Even in areas with high traffic volumes, the easyTRX3 is always able to send position reports because SOTDMA takes priority over regular AIS Class B devices with CSTDMA (Carrier Sense Time Division Multiple Access). SOTDMA enables the easyTRX3S to achieve higher transmission rates to improve the visibility of AIS position reports on AIS-enabled systems and screens.
Integrated GPS antenna
The built-in GPS antenna increases the independence of mounting the easyTRX3S device on board. Only a power connection and a VHF connection are required. This is very practical for all vessels with fiberglass or wooden hulls. An external GPS antenna can be connected if required.
Integrated active VHF antenna splitter. The standard built-in VHF splitter allows the user to use VHF radio and AIS with the same antenna. Separate installation is not required. A preamplifier reduces physical loss to a minimum.
High connectivity
The easyTRX3S has a large number of connections as standard. 1x NMEA2000, 1x NMEA0183 (In/Out) and 1x USB ports are available.

ME SENSE Relay
The ME SENSE Relay is the central control unit of the system. It receives the measured values of the individual sensors via a Bluetooth® connection and uploads them to a secure data cloud using the existing WLAN network in the marina.
Important note on network security:
For data security reasons, only encrypted WLAN networks that are protected by an SSID (network name) and a password can be used. Open or unsecured WLAN networks should be avoided.
Highlights:
- Management of up to 20 sensors simultaneously
- Control of up to 8 switches (on/off) simultaneously
- Storage of up to 8 WLAN networks in a favorites list
In addition, the ME SENSE Relay monitors the on-board voltage because it is connected directly to the on-board electrical system. It therefore also functions as a battery monitor to ensure a secure power supply.
